St. Anne's Log Church ~ The Orange Top
New Roof and Lighting Installation Nearing Completion
Orange is top of mind as we near completion with our new roof and lighting installation at our historic St. Anne's log church.
St. Anne's is the oldest public building in Parksville and the oldest log church on Vancouver Island still in use. It was built in 1894, and it's previous roofing shakes were installed in the 1970s.
The copper top, and orange look in the early evening light, are symbols of the journey of the Anglican Church of Canada in its commitment to the work of reconciliation within Canada and around the world, and in implementing the United Nations Declaration of the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP)

Sunday at 1 is a weekly gathering of our community, featuring music, readings, stories, compassionate prayers & intentions, and more. We re-start in the log church Sunday September 11. Everyone welcome - we are delighted to have guests, visitors, and newcomers!
We are located on the traditional lands and watersheds of the Pentlatch- and Hul’qumi’num-speaking peoples, and we continue our journey of reconciliation, knowing, in the words of Chief Robert Joseph of Reconciliation Canada, that We Are All One ~ Namwayut in this shared task.
